Yesterday early in the morning, One of my fellow Malaysian friend called me and asked if I’m free for Hanami viewing along with the birthday celebration of my previous Dormitory teacher who has been taking care of me while I was living there for about one month only. I agreed and they decided to go to Shinjuku Gyoen which is the largest park in Shinjuku for Hanami viewing. As you know, The best view for Hanami season is on around mid of April which you clearly see all the Sakura ( cherry blossom ) bloom from all the surrounding trees at the Park. But since they wanted to see it now as they are quite busy with their personal stuff like part time job and some are leaving Japan for good, I decided to go with them for a nice view.
This is my first time going to a Hanami viewing and also going to Shinjuku Gyoen park which I never went before after coming to Japan for almost half a year. This park is quite near by my school and it’s quite easy to go at just by stopping at Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station on the Marunouchi Line west exit where I always use for commuting to my school. After commuting for so long, I didn’t realize it was in front of the station where you take a short walk at the opposite direction from the west exit.
Arrived there while waiting for others to come. I was quite excited to go in for a view as I never see a real sakura before ever since until now because the only thing I saw is either on TV News or dorama series which I can also see them in front of my PC only. ^^;;
As you know Shinjuku Gyoen Park appears on many dorama, movies, documentary, news, newspaper and etc which makes the park a famous spot for relaxation and panic along with the awesome Hanami viewing season where they always record all the beautiful sakura at there.
No smoking, Bicycles prohibited and No cats and dogs allowed chasing/inside the park. ^^;;
No alcohol drinks allowed inside the park too. ^^;;
In order to go into the park, You need to buy entrance ticket first which cost 200 Yen for adult and 50 Yen for children.
Got my ticket and ready to go in.
Unexpectedly after going inside the park, I found a lovely looking Sakura tree which is fully bloomed appeared right in front of me. They have different kinds of Sakura flower in one HUEG park like this. Just too lovely to see them in reality than pictures.
A better close view for the flower.
There are tons of people are into the Hanami view along with their families, friends and lovers.
This is another type of Sakura flower which is commonly seen in many places around Japan. I tried to touch it feels soft and smooth for a flower like this. Awesome!
A lovely day for a picnic. Many people are really enjoying the spring season with a Hanami view along with their families, friends and lovers sitting on the ground having their lovely Bento together.
There are few of the trees have yet to be fully bloomed. This place is quite HUEG for a park and it’s the most beautiful park I have ever been to in my whole life. I’m gald to be able to go to this kind of awesome park and enjoy seeing the Sakura flower together with my fellow comrades.
A nice view from here to be able to spot a skyhigh building which is owned by NTDoCoMo in Yoyogi.
Sitting on the ground while taking pictures around. LULZ!
I just love the view and place where you can see alot of clean natural environment with a smooth grass on the ground. This is the reason why I love Japan and rubbish are hardly to be spot/seen at your surrounding area while back in my country, they can be easily seen everywhere around. ^^;;
Time to celebrate our dorm teacher birthday.
A lovely strawberry cake which our fellow females bought for him.
Our picnic spot which is under the sakura tree.
I wonder do they feel hot by just having their picnic or sleep under the sunlight? ^^;;
I even spot some couples sleeping together under the sunlight which looks like they are comfortable with. ^^;;
This is the last time I will be seeing her because she will be leaving Japan for good and continue her study in Malaysia.
Does it feel weird that I’m the only guy inside the picture? ^^;;
What a beautiful lake along with the sakura tree on the side of it.
Alot of tourist coming here and take lots of pictures of the surrounding area at this park. Which makes it a famous spot for Hanami viewing in Shinjuku.
Just love the view from this position.
Another fully blossom sakura flower.
This middle tree is the most famous one of all others around because of it’s special different sakura colors in one tree which attracts alot of people around there. Many of them are busy taking pictures of the special tree.
This is what I call the best place to visit for. It was too lovely and clean for a park this big. Japanese people knows how to maintain properly for a park like this.
LOLWUT? What’s with the girl who is self taking picture by herself while I was taking my lovely picture with the sakura flower. ^^;;
Japanese kids do know how to protect themself from falling into the lake. ^^;;
What’s up with both of my hands? I’m busy holding drinks on my left hand. ^^;;
I remember I saw this tree before in one of the dorama back before when I was still in high school. One of my comrade told me that this scene looks like one of the korean drama called ” Winter Sonata “. LULZ!
Another close up photo.
This is the scene that I always wanted to see it in reality because back before I came to Japan, I always see this on TV ans wishing that I can go there and look by my own eyes.
When I smile, You can’t see both my eyes clearly. ^^;;
