Last sunday, My last trip to Akihabara was to go there and search for a new Japanese electronic dictionary for my studies since I need it to search for some words that I don’t understand instead of checking out the thick old fashionable book which took alot of time just to check from there. And thought I need something fast and reliable to check on words, I decided to go there and search around that area to see if they do sell any foreign friendly electronic dictionary for native english user.Before that I have checked around Shinjuku area but failed as they are mostly for local people who only reads in Japanese and there are some that are only for the Chinese and Korean who intends to learn Japanese here.
After doing search around AKihabara and finally I bought one for myself. The new Sharp PW-AT790 electonic Dictionary. ^^;;
After buying and owning one that I wanted for, I decided to do some review on it. After opening the sealed cover and took all the stuff from the inside, I saw this many manual instruction/book coming out first before the thing inside. ^^;;
From there, I only have the ability to read 30%-40% of the Kanji that is written from there which is why I asked the shopkeeper to give me an english manual instruction on how to start and use it with all the simple only explaination just for Japanese dummy user like me. ^^;;
Finally get to see the electronic dictionary. It comes with a pair of batteries and a headphone.
LR03 Triple “A” batteries. It’s not a rechargable one but still can last longer.
Time to put the batteries inside.
At the back of it. It comes with a SD slot for you to put or install some programs such as Update Firms and learning software which you can add into the electronic dictionary OS for future use.
Didn’t notice It comes with a Windows O.S. It’s called the papyrus. ^^;;
It has stylus Pen included with a touch screen and writing pad.
When you can’t see clearly on the screen in a dark places or surrounding then you can turn on your light to see it in more clear vision.
This writing pad allows you to write your Kanji Characters, Hiragana or Katakana on it and it will appear on the screen. It also can be use to select option on it.
Free casing included. ^^;;
Just the right size to put inside the case. ^^;;
